Pools turn green from time to time because of poor maintenance which led to algae growth. You must shock your pool with one pound or one gallon of shock for every 10,000 gallons of water you have every 2 days to get rid of this. Keep your filter running overnight and you should see a significant difference.

You have yellow-green algae. The algae in your pool may be due to humid weather, heavy rain periods, or not enough chemical treatments. 'Pool Shock' chemicals are needed.

The water in your swimming pool has turned yellow and green due to the growth of algae. You can correct this problem by mixing algaecide in with your pool water.

The PH in your pool is bad You need to shock it to get it back where it needs to be you may have to do it a few times and after you shock it make sure you vaccuum it really god you don't want any shock left in the pool.

That's algae. You need to test the water to see how much ph and chlorine you have in it. You can use tiny testing units that are cheap and are available at Walmart, etc. You need to shock the pool to kill the algae. If you maintain the pool the way you should, you shouldn't ever have an algae problem.

Things can turn your pool green yellow like the pH level being too low for one. You may also check your filtration system or run your pump longer.

The water in your swimming pool has turned yellow green due to jealousy. It knows that you have been swimming in another pool.

Algie that is the nastiest stuff to get rid of you need to shock the water in the pool and then make sure you leave it the recomended time then vaccuum the pool super good and then check the chlorine levels thats what causes algie is low chlorine levels and if it needs chlorine add some.

I have the same problem but it is due to the well water. I am also trying to find a solution to this. We were told to add a rust remover, however, it has not cleared the water yet.
