Some dogs (especially if they are used to getting a lot of attention) become jealous when small children are around because they take away from the attention given to the dog. In his mind, if the kids go away, then people will go back to petting him instead.

Something is most likely bothering your dog. Are your children pulling his tail or ears?? If this is the case it could be upsetting your dog. Another reason could be that your dog isn't getting enough attention. A dog will act negitivly if they aren't recieving attention.

A biting dog is a serious issue! Take it to your vet to see if it is a physical problem. At what point did the dog start biting? Dogs bite to protect themselves and kids sometimes treat small dogs like toys.

The kids love to play with the animals. They don't know the limit. When the kids become over enthu and make the animal to go very tired iritates the animal hence these unwanted consequences. The dogs love the children as long as they are friendly.Once they started to torture the dog then the animal also shows its power.
