 cars  why

Question by  VenkateshB (17)

Why don't some people consider a pickup a car?

Like if some people say, "What kind of car do you have?" They say, "I don't. I have a truck."

Simply because they aren't cars. Even many laws have specific laws that relate only to a car or only to a truck and define what a truck is. Status quo is another reason.

Say you drive a Toyota Camry. How would you respond if someone asked "What kind of SUV do you drive?" You would say "I don't. I have a car." Also, because of the differences in chassis construction, drivetrain, brakes, and interior features, trucks and cars are distinctly different. Trucks are even legally considered different from cars.
