Your emergency brake light may be telling you that the parking brake has a problem or that the master cylinder has a problem. In any event you should immediately take the car to a brake repair facility as brake problems can cause fatal accidents.

The emergency brake light is also the warning light for low brake fluid level. This means that you have a leak somewhere in the system and will soon completely drain the reservoir. This is very dangerous and must be repaired and inspected by a qualified mechanic.

This is most likely due to a frayed or malfunctioning wire or switch. You shouldn't worry too much unless the brake is actually engaging. If you take the cover off the brake, you might be able to find the problem wire/switch and replace it.

maybe your brake is partially engaged for some reason or maybe there is something wrong with the brake and it isn't working properly and you need to have it checked out.
