It could be the fuel pump, the mass air flow sensor or many other numerous problems. The best bet is to have it looked at by a certified auto mechanic. That is the only sure way of knowing exactly the reason. Check with junk yard for replacement parts to save some money!

the transmission stalls also when there is no transmission fluid,if there is broken o2 sensor also the transmission stalls, clogged catalytic converter also causes the problem so you have to check the transmission fluid ,be sure the dipstick is not contaminated ,look the initial idle ok after a cold engine start up

Because of the engine getting cool in winter seasons ,moreover maybe of radiator problems or any wire getting disconnected inside. check for any carburator block and whether fuel is filled enough.

There is mostly likely a problem with it, it may have to be replaced, or rebuilt. You need to take it to a repair shop.
