You want to make sure that your cablebox outputs are plugged into the right inputs and that your tv is on the right "channel". A certain option must be chosen to corrispond with the input like digital or HDTV.

It is a possibility that your screen went out, meaning that your picture tube may have went out. Unless it's plugged up at a non working plug hole.

There are several reasons why this may happen. Is the tv turned on? Is the tv plugged in? Is the tv on the correct channel? If the tv is turned to the channel for the dvd player, the tv will be black when the dvd player is not playing.

Most repairs like this consist of 3 things: Acquiring the correct parts, having a schematic of your TV, and having a basic understanding of mechanics. I would call a TV-Repairman.

Is your TV cable plugged in? Have you tried calling the provider? If everything is checked, your TV signal projector might be dead. Try taking it to an authorized service.

First make sure the cables are plugged and to the right place. Try change channel. Call your provider to come and check. If anything dose not work, go and buy a new TV.

Sounds like the main power supply is no powering up. The replacement cost around $200. If the tv is olser model it may not be worth fixing.
