Why does my pitbull have a red nose?

Your dog is from a breed that generally have red colored noses especially when they are of the lighter variety. There is nothing to worry about unless the red color is caused from some sort of fighting or injury, then you should look into it further. Most likely this is just how his nose will be.

It's one of the colour of nose you get in pitbulls. Generally red nose pitbulls are more popular and gets sold quicker than the other coloured pitbulls.

There are species of this breed that have a dark reddish brown nose, and that is actually prized by many owners, it often goes with brindles. If this is not the natural characteristic, and you are seeing scabbing, seepage, and respiratory symptoms, please consult your vet.

Some colors of pit bulls have different color noses. There are red nose pit bulls and blue nose pit bulls. They are often referred to as the color of their nose, eg "red nose pitbull"
