Why does my cat lick the wall?

Cats very frequently will eat or lick things that they are not supposed to. As long as they are not ingesting large quantities, it shouldn't be a problem.

Could you have dropped something tasty on the wall? Try cleaning it with an amonia based product (then clean very well). It may be due to age? it can also be a stress reaction. Is it always the same spot? could there be moisture on the wall? If your worried, keep her out of the room.

All I can think of is that maybe there is something that she likes that could be on the wall. Sometimes cats do things that we don't understand but they do it for a reason maybe it makes her happy to lick the wall who knows right.

It could be a way of relieving stress or you could be rewarding the action. Some paints have a sweet taste, and some cats simply need to lick everything.
