You could have engine build up or a problem with viscosity. Look at getting a higher graded oil that is designed for the cold climate, maybe even a synthetic.
Chances are it is an intermittent current delivery to the spark plug. Check your battery. Check voltage. If those checked out you have to check spark plugs.
