It may not be that the ladies like you more. Alcohol can impair judgment, which would allow someone who is drunk to become less inhibited than they normally are. The ladies may like you when they haven't consumed alcohol; but it's easier for them to show it when they have. "Throw caution to the wind" comes to mind.

Because their inhibitions are dropped, and they are more likely to do things they normally wouldn't do; notably go after otherwise "unattractive" men.
