Teenage guys think it's charming to tell stupid jokes because it brings attention to them. They also honestly feel these jokes are funny. Even when they go from being a teenager to being a grown middle aged man, they will still believe these studid jokes are funny and will continue to tell them.

When you are that young you have a different perspective of humor and tact. As teenage boys get older and grow up this tends to change in most cases. It is yet another reason why they claim women mature faster than boys.
