Why do pizza prices keep going up?

Pizza prices are going up as a reaction to the economy and the rising prices of ingredients and gas prices as well. The companies have to pass on some of the additional expenses to consumers in order to maintain the business which includes employee wages, rent, electricity, and advertising.

Gasoline price increased so transport of ingredients went up, increasing their price. The value of the dollar decreased so you can buy less with a dollar today.
