Why do people snore?

My husband snores and it keeps me up all night.

This is usually caused by the vibrations made by tissues in the mouth such as the soft palate and the uvula. People who snore a lot have obstructed nasal airways, excessive throat tissue or poor muscle tone in the mouth.

The swelling of adnoids and tonsils can cause the vibration of the pallet causing snoring. A snore can also be produced when the walls of the nasal passages are congested.

Snoring results when theres is obstructed air movement during sleep or breathing. Usually it happens due to mispositioned jaw, fat across the throat, weak throat , Obstruction in nasal cavity and sleeping on one back can cause throat to drop in mouth.

People snore sometimes because they are overweight or have asthma. There are products on the market the snorer can wear over his nose to help cut down on snoring. If a snorer wakes up tired everyday, he should go see a doctor because he could have a serious ailment known as sleep apnea.

Most people snore while sleeping. Usually people snore, when they are not comfortable with the pillow, another factor could be the surface on which they sleep.
