Why did my skin turn green?

Is it a particular type of jewelry or is it just metal in general?

Cheaper jewelry--especially if it is silver--can commonly turn skin green. This is harmless and will not happen with higher quality jewelry.

If your skin turned green, then the jewelry you're wearing contains Copper. (Silver typically makes you're skin turn black, and usually pure gold does nothing at all. )
