Maybe your gas cap isn't on tight or you have a faulty O2 censor. It can be many reasons. You may be leaking air somewhere and need a new dipstick.

Check engine light can be triggered by so many different things. To find out what your is for you need to have the computer read. This can be done buy you with a special tool or by a shop or store. Parts store usually do it for free.
