Why are the soles of my feet red with burning and tingling?

It sounds like you have gotten yourself into something that has caused an irritation to your skin. Maybe something in your shoes, possibly the soap you use in your socks.

I would think the burning and tingling comes from poor circulation due to being a diabetic. Several diabetic patients suffer with a medical condition called neuropathy. The condition also will cause the soles of the feet to become read tender and swollen, therefore diabetics wear a particular type of shoe for this condition.

Redness, burning and tingling of the soles of the feet can be due to a few different things. If you are overweight and/or you have been on your feet for many hours, followed by getting off them, this can cause these symptoms, known as 'neuropathies' so see your doctor as soon as possible.
