Check the pH levels of the waters. Oftentimes, when the pH is unbalanced, the tadpoles are unable to function in the water.

There could be several causes. Are they being hunted by a predator? Is their environment set within the right temperature range? Are they receiving the proper nutrition and water? By answering these simple but obvious questions, we can at least eliminate some of the common potential causes and focus on others.
