Why am I still bleeding after my hysterectomy?

It's been 6 months, and it's like I'm having a period.

If you left the cervix in you can still have monthly periods, though usually lighter. The cervix is the end of the uterus and can still contain endometrium. If your cervix was removed it can come from granulated tissue in the vaginal cuff, or an improperly healed cuff. Please be evaluated by a gynecologist.

If you are experiencing bleeding after a hysterectormy you should contact the medical professional that performed the procedure to ensure nothing is wrong.
