"Harold and Maude" was released in 1971. It was written by Colin Higgins and directed by Hal Ashby. It starred Ruth Gordan as Maude, Bud Cort as Harold, and Vivian Pickles as Mrs. Chasen. Ruth Gordan passed away in 1985, Bud Cort is still working as an actor, and Vivian Pickles retired from acting in 1999.

The movie "Harold and Maude" was released in 1971. Harold (Bud Cort) is a suicidal and depressed young man who finds romance and a zest for life with a much, much older Maude (Ruth Gordon). The film went on to be a cult favorite.
