According to the NCAA, Trevor Insley of Nevada holds the Division I career record with 5,005 receiving yards. Clarence Coleman of Ferris State holds the Division II career record with 4,983 receiving yards. Scott Pingel of Westminster (Missouri) holds the Division III (and all-college) career record with 6,108 receiving yards.

Scott Pingel from Westminster (Div III) has college football records for both yards in a career (6,108 from 1996 to 1999) and yards in a season (2,157 in 1998). Most yards in a game is held by Lewis Howes. On October 12, 2002, he had 418 for Principia versus Martin Luther (Div III).

trevor insley holds the single season record with 134 catches and 2060 yards for Nevada in 1999. Purdue's Taylor Stubblefield holds the career receiving record with 316 catches between 2001 and 2004 In 1989 Houston's Manny Hazard caught a whopping 142 catches, this was the most in a single season

Trevor Insley from Nevada caught for an astounding 2,060 yards in his 1999 season. Smaller schools tend to set records like these because of weaker competition but some notable names up there include Crabtree and twice Troy Edwards.
