There are three players who hold the record at an astonishing sixty-seven yard's.The first player to achieve this feat was Russell Erxleben. He did this on October,1ST-1977. Steve Little accomplished this feat only 14 days later.The last player to pull off this feat is Joe Williams. He kicked his 67 yard field goal in 1978 in October on the 21st.

The longest goal was scored by Ove Johansson( 69-yard ) for Abilene Christian in a victory over East Texas State on October 16, 1976 in their home stadium (Shotwell Stadium) in Abilene, TX
