I would stick with well known watch retailers (Kay's, Gordon's, even finer department stores like JCPenney or Macy's), because their associates have the proper tools to work on watches, and they thoroughly train their associates to do so. Don't ever go to Wal-Mart, Kmart, Sears, etc. They don't have the tools or training to do the job properly.

You can do a watch band removal at home but this involves finding a good tutorial video online, purchasing the correct tools, and working with precision or you can damage your watch. Any jeweler that sells high end watches have the tools to do this and can probably do it for you for free or with a small fee.

Every super store have some expert person to remove the watch band. But there are some cheap tools available in market using which one can himself remove the band of his watch.
