Theory of reinforcement and behaviorism was developed by B.F. Skinner. It is one of the motivation theories and states that positvely reinforced behavior will continue to be repeated, whereas behavior that is not reinforced at all will cease to continue.

Reinforcement is a term used in operant conditioning. Reinforcement is used to reward a desirable response, therefore increasing the likelihood of that response occurring again. b. f. Skinner was first to develop this concept. He famously used pigeons, and would reward desired behaviors (reinforcement) incrementally to train pigeons to perform different tasks.

B.F. Skinner developed the reinforcement theory of behavior, which is also commonly referred to as "operant conditioning." It is a theory that describes learning as a process involving analysis and weighting by the individual of the positive and negative consequences in which our behavior can result. It is associated with other theories of learning, such as classical conditioning.

B.F. Skinner was the man who developed the reinforcement theory of behavior. He is the man who used the 'Skinner Boxes' with lab rats doing experiments with them and their pellets of food by using the reinforcment theory of behavior.
