The biotech industry is worldwide. While corporate headquarters are located in one country, it is quite likely that the business operates in many other countries. Where an employee is posted has to do with his expertise, flexibility and ability to speak the language.

China, India, and Thailand have up and coming biotech industries. However, their laws are more lax and you will need to be cautious when living in these countries. Japan and the United States are usually considered the leaders in the biotech industry.
