The absolute ideal place to buy Yorkies or any type of dog is from a home owned litter, not a puppy farm or pet store. From the beginning, these puppies are often born and brought up under better circumstances. They will get more attention from people who breed them this way.

I would look at a Yorkshire Terrier rescue and adoption center. Look under classified ads in the newspaper. Remember one thing though. Many times you might get a sick puppy and in this case you are going to spend more money curing it than if you bought a regular price Yorkshire terrier.

Consider looking to adopt a Yorkie from a local humane society or shelter. They often have pure bred animals for adoption at a minimal adoption fee.

One good place that is often not thought of would be a Yorkshire Terrier rescue. The internet is the best place to find these rescue groups. The price for a rescue dog is very small compared to a breeder. The rescue dogs are usually'fixed' and have their shots. Where I live it is usually around $200.00 to adopt.

You can talk to you vet they will know the best breeders that have the best prices on them and if the vet recommends them they will be able to tell you if the puppies have had all their shots and been vet wormed those things are very important in a puppy when you get it.

There is no one place to seek out the cheapest Yorkshire terriers. I would suggest looking at your local human society, local classified ads, and local paper.

Surprisingly, animal shelters frequently get purebreds. Many will allow you to leave your information and will call you if a dog you're seeking is available. Breed rescue groups are another great way to find an inexpensive dog. Avoid breeders who offer deep discounts--you will be disappointed in the dog.
