Where does the common wombat live?

The Common Wombat is a marsupial indigenous to the temperate regions of New Zealand, Tasmania and parts of Madagascar. They are not native to the US.

Most wombats live in Australia. They try to make there homes on hillsides, grassy areas, and even mountains because they need to dig a burrow to live and eat.

Australia. (The only wombats in New Zealand are the ones in zoos ~ and even then, they are very few in number)
