Where can you get online health advice?

I always hear my friends talking about turning to websites for their health questions. I think this would be very helpful, but I want to make sure I go to a site with legit answers.

There are many different places you can go for health advice on the web. One of the key things to look for is a site where the information is medically reviewed. Perhaps the best - and certainly the best known - of such sites is WebMD. There you can access all sorts of information about health conditions, drugs, appropriate testing, etc.

I prefer WebMD for accurate medical information that I can trust. Also, you could ask your doctor to recommend websites that are legitimate.

Mayo Heatlh clinic and the National Institute of Health are very reputable sites. Also Webmd has an excellent site complete with a symptom checker. It is important to make sure that the site you use is accredited as well as, remember these sites are not replacements for a doctors advice.

You really do need to be very careful to filter out harmful advice or people trying to make money from your problems. Stick with sites from major reputable hospitals. Also avoid trying to diagnose yourself on the internet. It's very easy to scare yourself.

Just go to WebMD. Just search it. It is very popular so you should find it right away. I always go there especially when my kids get sick. My daughter had this eye condition when she was 2 weeks old and I search it at that site. They gave me an answer and some advice.
