You can find patterns at any fabric store. Browse through the pattern books under the tab for evening gowns. If you don't find what you want, try Goodwill or a thrift store, buy a very cheap gown with a sash you like, take it apart and use the pieces as a pattern.

You actually can make them without sewing them so you don't really need a pattern. Just get some cheap "satiny" fabric and cut it into four to five inch strips. Then cut the ends at an angle to get the sash look.

Just buy a 1/2 yard of satin material. Cut two strips 7 in wide. Sew with right sides together. Turn inside out and sew bottom together at angle.

The internet is a great resource for finding sewing patterns and designs. A local fabric store is another great resource because the staff is very knowledgeable and will help.
