According to a source, the first song aired on the radio was "O Holy Night". It's a well-known Christmas carol composed by Adolphe Adam in 1847 to the French poem "Minuit, chrétiens".

The first song was aired in 1906. It was aired an AM station on Canada. As an aside, the first licensed AM radio station didn't come to the US until fourteen years later in 1920. Radio has come a very long way since then. I think everyone would agree with that.

The first song to be ever aired on the radio is a Christmas song called "Oh, Holy Night". It took place on December 24, 1906 when Reginald Fessenden of Canada broadcasted the first AM radio program. In played the song with a violin and also read from the Bible in the same program.
