What's up with the Geico gecko?

The fact that he has been played on television every few minutes for several years now means that he must be pretty popular--whether he's cute or not. Audiences like the use of humor in commercials. The ads even poke fun at the fact that the lizard's voice (accent) changes periodically.

Not really. He's kind of annoying being that he really has nothing to do with the company nor auto insurance. I never really got the point of the lizzard.

The Geico gecko is super cute. I would own one of mine own if that was possible. I miss seeing him on the commercials.

Well I guess you could consider him cute. The newer gecko is quite cute, however, I don't think that the advertisements are as funny.

The Geico gecko is the least offensive Ad campaign for Geico insurance, in my opinion. The voice overs and appeal of the gecko is miles above the monotonous caveman commercials. Worse yet, the use of "actors" in testaments, was utterly ridiculous. The ad campaigns for Geico are oversaturated. I walk away with no intention of contacting their agency.

The Geico gecko began as a commercial campaign making light of the fact the words Geico and gecko were similar. At this point the Geico gecko is not cute.
