You could put up drywall and cover all the tiles. You could take down the tiles and put up new drywall over the damaged area. Or you could hire a sink and tub refinisher to glass the tile in any color you want and put decals here and there to decorate the tiles.

Stores like Lowes and Home Depot sell vinyl peal and stick floor tiles in a broad range of patterns that can dramatically change and improve the appearance of your kitchen. Make sure to thoroughly clean the tiles to be covered before applying the new tiles.

I'm assuming you're talking about backsplash tiles, but I'm not positive. If so, there are a lot of wall panels that can be used to cover up the backsplash area quite well. One is an aluminum panel that can be picked up at Ikea relatively cheap. Measure precisely, though!

I found that using what is called a floating floor works well over old tiles. You do not have to remove the tiles and the floating floor comes in stripes with the backing already attached. It will make it look like hardwood floors.

If they are vinyl tiles, you can just go over them. If you are talking about ceramic tiles, the only thing you can do is to remove them first.
