That's probably a really good idea. Keep giving the birthday honoree water so he or she doesn't get too dehydrated. Another idea would be to compile a "party playlist" of music you already have (the modern equivalent of a mix tape) or a book of coupons for services to be rendered at a later date (more designated driving, for example).

Invite them for a dinner/pizza and movie night at your place so it doesn't cost much. Red Box is 1.00 and TV movies are free. Borrow a movie from a friend and can do a movie and snack night like popcorn, soda, make cookies.
