What will cause a blister on the eye?

My child has a blister on the eye and I cannot figure out what caused it.

Your child probably has a cyst, not a blister. Cysts can be caused by a small foreign object, such as particle of dirt.

If the blister is on the eyelid (not on the actual eye), it is probably a sty. A sty is caused by a an infected oil gland along the eyelid.

it is most likely caused by some form of bacteria entering the eye. He probably got it from touching his eyes when his hands weren't clean.

Most probably, the blister could be Pinguecula and may be an anti-inflammatory reaction The most common cause for this condition is prolonged exposure to UV light and it is not a dangerous condition.

Continuously rubbing your eyes after contact with an allergen like spray or dust may create a blister in kid's eyes. So don't let him rub his eyes more. Consult an eye specialist as earlier as possible.
