When I started in bass fishing, I tend to fish with slider worms by flipping the bait, it is alot of walking and was alot of fun. Depends on what lake it is you will have to try a variety of colors. Also fake lizards are a good bait when the fish have spawned.

I would start by fishing early and late when the light is low and bass are actively feeding. If you're fishing shallow water, rigging a weedless plastic worm is a good way to start. Color will depend on what the fish want.

large and small mouth Bass tend to like lot's of cover.Best time to catch them is early in the morning /late afternoon on a variety of live and simulated bait's.
