The size of the furnace is dictated by the square footage of the home as well as the heat loss of the home. Depending on age and insulating heat losses vary. Most furnaces are between 75k and 125k btu.

Depends on the size of your home. If you're living in a 600 square foot or larger home you're going to need a decent sized furnace to heat your entire house. I would recommend getting an electrical contracter to scale your house and decide what is right for your home.

It depends on how many square feet the house is. If it is big you are going to need a bigger furnace. You should get one that can consistenly heat your home to 74 degrees.

Really the style will not matter as mu=ch as the actual square feet and it's thermal efficient it is. A well insulated small house will require less heating than a large uninsulated house. Look online for a calculator to find out what kind of specs to look for.
