What size engines were available in the Oldsmobile Alero?

Specifically the 2001 models.

The 2001 Alero was available with two different engines. The base GX and GL4 models came with a 150hp, 2.4 liter, four cylendar. The GL1 and GL2 could have either engine. The GLX came standard with the 170-hp, 3.4 liter V-6.

The 2001 year models were available with 2 engine options. One was the LD9 I4 2.4 liter engine with 150 horse power. The other was the LA1 V6 3.4 liter engine with 170 horsepower.

3.4 6 cylinder engines were the only engine that were available in this type of car. you could not put any other engine in this type of car. but you can put a 1999 pontiac grand am engine in it. and that would be okay to do if you wanted to.
