What should your heartbeat be when on a treadmill?

I need to know what a good heartbeat would be for working out on a treadmill.

This really depends on how often you exercise and your age. If you are just starting out on a workout plan I would shoot for between 120-150. Interval training works better than keeping it constant as well. This way you can push yourself for two minutes and bring it down a notch for a minute or two.

To find out your target heartbeat rate you subtract your age from the number 220 for men and 226 for women. Then you take that number and multiply it by. 6 for the lower range or multiply by. 8 for the higher range your hearbeat should be. When you are first beginning you should aim for the lower range.

A good aerobic workout on a treadmill should have your pulse up to 90 - 110 beats per minute. Lower than that is not pushing you enough, more is too much.
