You should apologize to them and try to solve your problems with conversations, not fights. Make a list of your problems and go over them calmly. Do not let your in laws intice you inot a fight. If they want to fight then tell them you will discuss this with them later and walk away.

Sit down with them, let them know that you're sorry that you have fought, that you want to have a good relationship with them and work out your differences. And then try to do just that. Don't put your spouse in the middle. It never works and just make your spouse miserable to choose sides.

When I get into a fight with my inlaws. I try to sit down and talk things over, and try to work it out. If we can not come to some sort of agreement, and the fighting just keeps going. Then I am the one to just back down and leave for awhile and go for a ride.

If you fight with your in-laws, underlying problems with your spouse will surface, because your spouse will always be in the middle. First, be as polite as possible and don't add fuel to arguments. Be honest with your spouse about your feelings without insulting his parents. If you are religious, pastoral counseling works. If not, try family therapy.
