You should express to him what you love about him. Tell him what things about him you were attracted to and what makes him the man you appreciate today.

Say something short, simple, and heartfelt. If you can't think of anything, search for some love poetry online, or borrow a book of poems from the library and select a few meaningful lines to include in your card. Be sure that your poetry applies to your particular situation, and will make your spouse feel loved and appreciated.

Another year has passed and I find myself more in love than ever. You are the love of my life and each I feel more blessed than I can possibly find the words to tell you. On this celebration of our wedding day, I promise once again that I will love you so long as we both shall live.

Flowery words aren't necessary. Just be honest and tell your spouse how you feel about the years you have spent together.
