Mainly items that are flammable and are very important to you. For example, you could have a photo album, legal documents and so on.

Any important documents should be stored in a fireproof box including legal documents such as wills, power of attorney, life insurance policies, retirement account documentation, financial documents, birth certificates, marriage certificates, divorce papers, tax returns and passports. Other items to consider include non-replaceable items like artwork, jewelry and even firearms.

Store your birth certificate and those of any children, marriage and divorce papers, passport, deed to your home and cars, your social security card and those of any of your children.
