Pay special attention in the coming time. You should be ready to have your baby soon. Make sure you have your hospital bag backed and ready to go.

At 40 weeks you are considered full term and can deliver at any time. Get as much rest as possible now because with a newborn resting will be more difficult. Also at this point it is very helpful to what pediatrician you plan on using, as they usually come to visit the hospital prior to you and the baby leaving.

Rest as much as possible, because pretty soon sleep will be a more precious commodity. Make sure your hospital bag is packed, your nursery (or baby's area in general) is prepared. Bear in mind that water breaking, losing your mucus plug, and even some contracting may not indicate labor. But rest assured, you WILL know when it's time to go!

That you're at full term and you could have a baby at any moment. You should have a doctor, and know the number to call if your water breaks or you go into labor. You should also have all the baby items you need and your carseat should be installed.

Do you have a doctor? Were your periods regular before you got pregnant? I ask because supposedly all my kids were late, when in fact my periods were 7 weeks apart. My youngest, now 23, was due on April 6, but i didn't give birth until May 14.
