What should I know about wiring a screw in a fuse box?

I would recommend removing it and installing a modern breaker box sized the same as your fuse box. Old fuse boxes can be a major fire hazard.

You should always make sure you have rubber boots on and rubber gloves before you start. When you are running a wire like that you are also going to want to make sure the wire is grounded also. If not it can cause a fire in the house and that is no good.

You should not even use a screw in fuse box anymore. There other options that are much better than the old screw in fuse.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "wiring a screw in a fuse box" but it sounds to me like you should NOT be doing electrical work.
