Most dogs should be okay going into pools with the same levels of chemicals as humans swim in. However, if your dog has sensitive skin, it would advisable not to take the dog into the pool. Finally, it is important to make sure the dog doesn't swallow water or get any in its eyes.

Swimming pool chemicals have a very strong odor and can damage a dogs lungs and eyes. If the chemicals are ingested, they can cause the dog to have seizures, paralysis, vomitting, and death.

Dogs love to swim in theswimming pool. But the chlorinated water is not good for them. It can remove the natural oils from the dog's body and cause dry, itchy skin.

The normal balance of chemicals in a treated pool would not be enough to harm most dogs. Some with sensitive skin may have problems, but other than that it is generally safe for your dog to take a dip in the pool. The pool chemicals, if undiluted, could harm a dog and should be stored out of the dogs area.

Generally if you do not use alot of things in your pool and go over the top with it's cleaning treatments it is okay for the dog to swim in it and he/she will not be bothered by any chemicals inside.

Chemicals such as schlorine may strip the dog's skin and fur from essential oils that protect it from rashes and parasites such as mites.

Most dogs should be fine with the chemicals so long as they're not drinking from the pool or they're not exposed for more than an hour

You can refer to the information provided on the sides of your chemical containers or ask the company who produces them to provide you with a material data safety sheet.
