u should not replace the old walls because you need to know the structural details. If your house is on a load bearing wall system then you cannot just remove a wall and build it again. For that purpose contact some professional and take advice that you need to redo the walls or u can remove them.

Make sure that everything is to code. There are different codes for different areas and types of basements. Then make sure that everything is sealed off properly and that you have easy access to dispose of the old wall. Also, be aware of where the support beams and columns may be in the walls.

Your-basement-walls hold up your-entire-structure above, so first, you need to install lots of builders'-jacks for support. Then excavate (one-section at a time) walls'-exterior, rebuild that-section & back-fill. Repeat.

Since the basement is the foundation of your house, you might want to have a professional look at the situation. You may also want to have a professional do the work so the house does not fall down. If you need to do it yourself for cost reasons, at least have a friend/contact professional tell you what to do.

If your basement is wet or damp, you need to do some outside work first to stop the moisture or all your hard work will go down the drain. If dry you can put wood strips, electric outlets and insulation on the walls and put green dry wall over that.
