Rabbits can see better than humans in lower light conditions, but other than that there really isn't anything special you need to do with light for your rabbit to thrive in it's living habitat. A rabbit has poorer resolution in low light conditions, but it does not hinder it's ability to see well.

All Rabbits, need to get at least 4 hours of sunlight every day. Sunlight provides rabbits with the essential vitamin D they need. This vitamin D allows their body to properly process its calcium. A deficiency of sunlight, and so vitamin D, often causes Rabbit Dental Disease. Vitamin D supplements can be dangerous so sunlight is the only real choice.
