Since you dont know how serious of an issue this could be you should probably take this dog to the vet. It could be a serious form of cancer.

A knot on a boxer's head -- or any animal's head -- should be checked out my his or her vet as a precaution. However, boxers are susceptible to tumors, which are often benign. Your boxer's vet will not recommend removing the tumor unless if becomes infected or is cancerous.

Depends on where it is. If it is toward the top it is probably normal. Most dogs have them and they are referred to as a "smart bump," "intelligence bump" etc. Some are larger than others. However, if it is open or red etc you should have it checked.

You should probably take him to the vet just to be safe because you never know what it could be. It could be serious or it could be nothing.
