The main thing you need to know is that there are a lot of different types of pagans, and they often get offended if you assume all pagans are the same or have the same beliefs. Ask your friends what type of pagans they are.

Pagans have a wide variety of beliefs. Paganism focuses on a spiritual connection with nature and its cycles. Becoming pagan is quite simple. You first begin to honor the cycle of nature through prayer, meditation, or some other form of recognition. Then you perform a small ceremony and self-blessing to mark your commitment to walking the pagan path.

The most important thing you should know about becoming pagan is that you should never choose your religion because your friends are. Search your heart, and your beleifs, and review the holy books of several religions and do not base your decision on a religion on your friends' religions.

Most people will shun you for it. You must realize everything you do has a consequence and effect on the people and world around you. Anything you do will be returned to you. Also find a good teacher.

This is a choice you should make based on what you believe is right and not what your friends think. Do some research on paganism then YOU decide!

Most Christian, Muslim and Jewish parents will see this as an abomination and desperately seek to correct it. Many religious parents will be offended; given this reasoning, their solution is to end all of these friendships. Non-religious parents will likely see it as a phase or as casual exploration.

"Pagan" is actually fairly general. In many ways it mainly means that you are not a Christian and probably avoid organized religion. You should ask your friends.
