What should I expect from attending the Kentucky Derby festival?

The Kentucky Derby Festival is a 2 week celebration preceding the first Saturday in May when the Kentucky Derby is held. Some of the festival events include the Derby Marathon and mini-Marathon, The Great Balloon Race, the Pegasus Parade, the Great Steamboat Race, and Thunder Over Louiseville which is the largest fireworks display in North America.

Well just expect something different at the festival and then you should also expect to have a lot of fun at the festival.

You should expect to see a lot of women dressed nicely with large hats and you should expect to see mint juleps for sale. It should be fun!
