TURN THE FURNACE OFF (electric-shut-off, gas-supply, ...) Remove the the damaged-filter-remains; Check for & repair any other damage to your furnace (fan-blades, motor, heating-elements, ...) Obtain & install a new-air-filter of the appropriate-dimensions (Why was the old-air-filter sucked into the furnace? too-small, more-support required, retention-clips, ... ?) Turn your furnace back on (electricity, gas-supply, ...)

Turn off the furnace immediately. If the air filter is located near or on the furnace, you may can retrieve it by opening the access covers of the furnace itself. If the filter is hidden somewhere in the duct work, you should call a licensed HVAC professional.

My air filter was sucked into the vent. I called the heating and air man out to look at it. He informed me that there was really nothing to do about it. He replaced the filter. My heating and air still works fine. Dont buy the cheap, flimsy air filters.

If your air filter got sucked into the furnace, you should shut the furnace off and call someone to come and remove it. Maybe it has already burnt and you will be all set.

You are going to need to get the filter out of the furnace. If you dont it can cause a fire and that is no good.

Just to be safe, you should shut the furnace down and inspect it yourself or have it looked at by a professional, remove the filter remains, then replace the filter.

turn the power off to the furnace. After the power is off, take the bottom door of the furnace off. Pull the filter out, put unit back on.

I would call a repair man right away and explain the problem to them. That could be bad and start a fire so I would act fast. You do not want your house to catch on fire.
