Our cat had an extreme reaction to her annual shots and almost died. She required a blood transfusion & lots of medical care. You need to take the cat to the vet right away. Don't wait 24 hours. Better safe than sorry.

Take your Cat to the nearest Vet right away. Your cat could be having an allergic reaction that is so bad that the throat will actually close up on the cat.

You should speak to your vet. In the mean time, keep him in a dark, quite place and try not to stress him out.

If after receiving vaccinations your cat has a reaction, you should return to the vet to have the cat examined. Often the vet will use benadry injections to treat reactions related to immunizations. More may be needed depending on the reaction and severity. Usually after this, when the cat needs immunizations the vet will have you premedicate with Benadryl.

If your cat is running fever and is lethargic I would wait a day and see if it gets over it. If not, you will need to take it back to the vet that gave her the shots.

A common and relatively slight reaction is for the cat to be lethargic, listless, possibly slight vomiting or stomach upsetness. Just make sure this cat has lots of rest. If the vomiting continues, your cat has difficulty breathing, call a vet immediately.

If your cat has a reaction after getting shots, it is best to show that you care by treating the cat to a very nice meal of tuna or salmon.
